I want to know what goes on in your little girl world

Ada is a month old today. Thats pretty hard to beleive really. She is very much the handful but while I do spend most of my free time taking care of her, it all seems to pass so quickly. Ada has already grown noticeably. Some of her newborn onesies now fit a little tight and are difficult to get on her and we’ve moved up a diaper size. Her sleep times, which were about 2 hours, are getting longer, to about 3-4 and she is eating more, about 4-6 ounces per feeding. Mel and I have naturally fallen into a little rotation for baby-care. Melissa takes days while I’m at work, and then I releive her when I get home and care for Ada until I konk-out, then Mel watches her again until I wake up for the early-morning shift which I handle until its time to leave for work.

Of course with all the joy and excitement of the new baby, little time has been left for other things. We’ve been fortunate enough to have my sister volunteer to babysit a couple of times already and even made it out a couple of times with baby in tow. Hopefully now that she is sleeping for longer periods, I’ll be able to get more stuff done around the house – my plans for this weekend are to unpack and organize the basement and get baby announcements ready to send out.

And for those who have asked, yes, more recent baby pictures will be online soon.
