Yeah, I don’t know if I’ve mentioned it before, but we call her Ada-bug a lot. I think it came out when we were talking about ways that she will get teased about her name when she grows up and her grandma Sherry came up with Ada-bug (ate-a-bug).

So, we had another session with Ada’s development counselor on Monday afternoon and we agreed that since Ada has started crawling and making a lot of progression in talking and eating in the past few weeks that we will cut sessions down to bi-weekly.

Ada has moved from doing the belly-crawl to crawling on hands and knees now. She is picking up food and putting it in her mouth (although she still misses a lot). And, along with making all of her usual sounds, she is clearly trying to mimic the words that we say. She especially likes singing “Old MacDonald had a farm, E-I-E-I-O”.

I need to get some new videos of her crawling online, but for now I’ll just post this picture of her messy face after eating a biter biscuit and practicing with her sippy cup.

It is difficult to think that it is Wednesday already, because I still feel a little worn out from the weekend. Congratulations to my sister, Simone, and her new husband. They had a successful hitching and are now enjoying a honeymoon in Hawaii.

Ada had a birthday celebration on Sunday. She still has two weeks until she turns 1 year old, but we wanted to celebrate while all my mothers family was in town.

She’s been doing really well lately. She seems to enjoy staying at home with her grandma during the day and she hasn’t had any illness since she left daycare. Lots of talking and getting better at crawling. She is starting to mimic a lot of words that we say, of course she drops a lot of consonants – Melissa thinks it sounds kind of like Jabba the Hut speaking. I am also trying to work with her on baby sign, but its taking her a while to pick up most of the hand movements.

Of course, I have to post a picture of my cute baby girl wearing her birthday hat and bib.

Ada officially started crawling today. She is still a little weak in the legs and it almost looks like she’s pulling herself forward with her arms, but she is able to make it a few feet to grab whatever toy she is most interested in at the moment.

In other news, Google released thier new Calendar site today. Finally, someplace to store people’s birthdays and important dates instead of just my Gmail or Amazon.

I heard about these Laser Keyboards being developed about a year and a half ago. Cool to see they were finally released, I just wonder how well they work.

In other tech news, looks like MicroSoft has released MS Google and MS Google Tools.

Ada has been eating a lot lately. For her 3rd meal today, she consumed these 3 jars of food.

She is slowly moving toward eating regular foods (other than the jarred baby foods). She likes avacodos and smashed up bananas.
