James security blanket has obtained a name.  We are calling it “Buddy”.  While the blanket has, in most every sense, become Jame’s buddy, as he will carry it with him most everywhere, the name actually came from how he would mispronounce the word “blanket”.  Ada also has a security blanket, but it doesn’t have a name, although sometimes she does refer to it as “green blanket” because, well, its green.  Fortunately, Ada and James do not insist on having their blankets with them at all times, so the blankets more just for comfort and warm fuzzy than actual protection from all things strange and foreign in the world.  I know that I used to carry a security blanket, but stopped using it very early.  I know that some blankets can get pretty worn after too long so we’ll see how long Buddy lasts. 

This was taken a few weeks ago. Melissa was out of town on her business trip to South Dakota and the kids were not very willing to take a bath. So, I improvised a little bit and they thought it was a lot of fun.

Little Mac started taking his first couple of steps a few weeks ago. I caught one of his first little trips across the house on video. He’s got it now pretty good now and he’s walking all over the house.

Little Mac has grown a lot in one year.

Just thought I would take a chance to wish everyone a safe and happy New Years celebration!

I’ll be spending the evening at home with my family and a few friends.
